This fabric comes from Santo Tomás Jalieza, Oaxaca, a community of women in southern Mexico where the use of backstrap loom and thick cotton hread is used and mastered by the most wonderful and skilled weavers. This technique is ancient and has been passed through generations with great accuracy and success.
This fabric took 2 weeks in being lommed and turned into 5 unique chalkbags.
